Hello CWAGers and Happy New Year!

Thanks to all who have renewed your membership and to all of our new members! 

We invite you to our Annual Members Meeting, Saturday, January 13th. Our theme is “How CWAG Will Meet the Challenges."

We know we are facing accelerating growth and increasing demand for our limited groundwater supplies. This meeting is your opportunity to


· What are today's water realities and the issues we must tackle?

· What are CWAG's strategy and plans to meet the challenges facing water sustainability and threats to the Verde River?

· What are the specific ways YOU can help make a difference?

· What are the answers to your questions and what are the actions we haven't thought of yet?

Saturday, January 13, 10:00 – 2:00 including lunch. Granite Peak Unitarian Universalist Davis Hall, 882 Sunset Avenue, Prescott (2 blocks behind True Value).

Please note that this is a members-only meeting so dues ($25 per household) must be paid on or before the day of the meeting. Click here to join/renew online or print the form and mail (by Jan. 9) us your membership dues or bring your dues with you to the Jan. 13 meeting.

10:00 – 10:15 Welcome - Michael Adcock, CWAG President

10:15 – 11:00 Presentation - Gary Beverly, CWAG's Chairperson of the Policy Committee, will start with an informative, nuts and bolts presentation that will discuss the threats to the Verde River, the status of the Big Chino Pipeline, and the implications of proposed major developments on our water supplies. Gary will then outline CWAG's program to increase our resources and our strategy for meeting our challenges head-on. We look forward to member comments to this strategy at the afternoon session.

11:00 – 11:30 Business Meeting - CWAG President Michael Adcock will chair a short business meeting that will include the annual audit report, the treasurer's report and election of officers.

11:30 – 12:00 Breakout #1 - In order to learn more about our committee work, members can choose to attend one of four sub-groups, each chaired by a CWAG Committee Chairperson: Science, Policy, Education and Outreach. Committee Chairs will describe their mandate and examples of both past and planned activities. The sessions will be informal and give members the chance to explore how they might learn more about water as they participate in the growing number of CWAG activities. 

12:00 – 12:45 Lunch - A complimentary lunch with beverages will be served. The menu will respect vegan and gluten-free diets. A morning snack will also be available. 

12:45 – 1:15 Breakout #2 - This break-out session will follow the same format offering members the opportunity to learn about a second CWAG committee.

1:15 – 2:00 Member Q&A and Suggestions
