1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. The Center on Rosser presents: The Lazy Gardener (Gardening with Native Plants). Fall is a great time to start a native plant garden. If you love to garden but don't want to devote much time, energy, or just plain muscle power to a garden, native plants are for you. Native plants require little maintenance, less water, no fertilizer, and no pesticides. Learn how to plant native wildflowers, what native plants are best for this region, what plants are invasive, and how to support our native pollinators. Students will learn the basics of planting and maintaining a native plant garden, and how to replicate nature's gardening strategies. Instructor Kathy Dickinson. Fee: $25.
