9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. 37th Annual Verde River Day. FREE FAMILY EVENT! Activities during the event include organized canoe and kayak rides, sandcastle building, and over 40 nonprofit nature-based exhibits with educational information about the Verde River’s riparian habitat and wildlife. Fishing Clinic - 8:00 AM - NOON. Fishing licenses are not required during clinic hours. Poles, bait, and tackle are provided for all age groups. LOCATION: Dead Horse Ranch State Park, 675 Dead Horse Ranch Rd, Cottonwood.
