2014-05-10 - Water Savvy Landscaping

5/10/14 - Water Savvy Landscaping with Native Plants from CWAGAZ on Vimeo.

Learn to save water beautifully by landscaping with native plants. Steve Miller with The Native Garden will show us the best plants to use and how to care for them with water conservation in mind.

Miller will describe the benefits of beautifying your yard with low water use native plants, provide easy steps for getting started, show examples of gorgeous native landscapes, and explain how to attract hummingbirds and butterflies, while keeping javelina and deer from eating the fruits of your labor. He will also discuss growing vegetables and using water catchment systems for irrigation.

Steve and Betsy Miller opened The Native Garden in 2012 after moving to Prescott in 2005 and finding they had to go to Flagstaff to find native plants that were not available locally.
