NEW! 5:30 p.m. Prescott Valley Regular Town Council Meeting.  Agenda item 10.a. is a budget transfer of $345,000 for a PFAS-related project. On November 7, 2024, Prescott Valley staff made a presentation to the Town Council on the status of PFAS treatment in the water system and identified alternative projects that could be done that would be more economically advantageous than equipping 3 Quailwood wells with PFAS levels higher than EPA limits with expensive PFAS treatment. One of the primary alternative projects consists of installing a 2-mile, 16-inch diameter pipeline along Old Black Canyon Highway (between the Stoneridge subdivision and the Prescott Country Club (PCC)). This would provide a high volume of water to the lower Town water system (Quailwood and PCC) from wells in the upper Town water system not impacted by PFAS. This project would cost on the order of $4,000,000. To expedite the project, staff would like to start design this Fiscal Year 2024-25. It is proposed that $345,000 be transferred to fund design of this project (said budget authority be taken from the Glassford PRV @ 1st street project. That project will be postponed and performed in a future budget year. The agenda with options for remote viewing is HERELOCATION: Council Chambers/Library Auditorium, 7401 E. Skoog Blvd.
