CWAG Activities
With the participation and support of our members, CWAG has become a respected and effective advocate for sustainable water resources in our area. Our activities include:
- We listen to the public.
- We answer your questions.
- We present monthly public programs on local water topics.
- We present programs to community groups through our Speakers Bureau.
- We attend and monitor public meetings: Prescott City Council, Board of Supervisors, Prescott AMA, etc.
- We monitor state legislation and meet with elected representatives.

How can I get involved?
How can I get involved?
Our first and foremost response is “Join CWAG,” and that can be done easily by clicking on Join - Renew - Donate. However, you can do more!
Here are some suggestions:
- If you only wish to receive our weekly calendar of water events e-newsletter, sign up by clicking on Subscribe to Calendar. You don't need to be a paid member to receive the emails.
- Follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
- Attend our public meetings on the second Saturday of each month, and if you are a member, participate in our January meeting for members.
- Invite a CWAG speaker to address your group.
- Join our Public Policy Committee or Science Committee. The Public Policy Committee meets on the first Wednesday of the month. The Science Committee meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month, but not every month. To learn more about the committees and their projects, email

- Share your interest in water sustainability with anyone who will listen! Lead by example.
- Stay informed and vote.

For the last 20 years, CWAG has accomplished so much as an all-volunteer organization. Now, we have a part-time Administrative Assistant to support our growth and continue opening doors for future projects. But we need your time, talents, and passions to make the most of these opportunities!
Learn more about opportunities to get involved with CWAG below! With flexible time commitments to fit your schedule and a vast array of project areas, there truly is something for everyone. Water expertise is not required, just an interest in securing our water future!
Committees & Project Teams: Helping out with our Committees is a great way to learn about the issues that affect you! If you can help us, please contact

- Policy Committee: If you have an interest in identifying key issues and ensuring that CWAG positions are developed to address these issues, join our Policy Committee.
Administrative Support: If you have familiarity with administrative activities, such as handling membership databases and customer relationship management systems, we would love to find a place for you helping CWAG run smoothly.
Graphics: We always need help creating posters and brochures.
GIS: We need maps created by graphical information system software.
Fundraising & Grants: Are you experienced in fundraising efforts? CWAG needs your help to take advantage of some grant opportunities to fund regional projects, to attract corporate funding, and to secure an essential support staff position.
