3:00 p.m. - Prescott City Council Voting Meeting. Agenda item 10.C. is Approval of Multiple Contracts for the Zone 41Mingus Pump Station, Tank & Pipeline Project in the amount of $10,147,605.50. The Zone 41 water system is used to provide potable water to the City’s Pressure Zones 40 and 41.

Due to aging infrastructure and increasing system demands, the City determined that this pump station and the storage tanks are in need of replacement to reliably service their customers. The project includes removing two existing 200,000 gallon water storage tanks and replacing them with a single 750,000 gallon water storage tank, replacing the existing 500 gallons per minute Mingus Pump Station at 810 Douglas Avenue with a new 2,250 gallons per minute pump station,
upsizing the pipeline between the pump station and the new tank, upsizing the water main in Douglas Avenue to Northside Drive, reconstructing a portion of Douglas Avenue, reconstructing the access road to the tank site, and drainage improvements. Funding for this contract is budgeted in FY25, from the Water fund. The City is applying for a low interest loan from the Water Infrastructure Financing Authority (WIFA). Any debt issued will be repaid from Water user rates. The agenda with options for remote viewing is posted HERE: https://prescottaz.portal.civicclerk.com .  LOCATION: 201 N Montezuma Street, City Council Chambers, 3rd Floor.
