NEW! 5:30 p.m. Prescott Valley Town Council Regular Meeting. Agenda item 10b is Authorizing Application for WIFA Funding for a Stormwater Recharge Pilot Project in Prescott Valley. The project would be used to verify and quantify costs and efficacy of using Parjana, a specific infiltration technology that has been shown to change the soil structure where it is installed, in a stormwater detention basin to better capture stormwater and recharge it into the aquifer. (NOTE: Richard Aguirre of WEST Consultants will explain Parjana and discuss this project when he speaks to CWAG on May 10.) The estimated cost of constructing/modifying the stormwater detention basin, installing monitoring equipment, conducting testing and analyses, and preparing reports is $664,358.20.
