9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. River Stewardship Volunteer Day. Friends of the Verde River, Arizona State Parks, Oak Creek Watershed Council, and the National Forests have partnered to coordinate and host a river stewardship volunteer day for Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. You can participate at any one of six sites — Prescott Uplands with Prescott National Forest, Cottonwood: Dead Horse Ranch State Park, Sedona: Cypress Trail Head with Oak Creek Watershed Council, Camp Verde: Homestead seed ball making and spreading, Camp Verde: Clear Creek Fishing Site, or Camp Verde: Rockin' River Ranch State Park.
