5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Skywarn Weather Spotter Class. In preparation for this year’s North American Monsoon, the National Weather Service is hosting a Skywarn Weather Spotter Class on May 7. Spotters are volunteers in the local community who are trained to identify and report severe weather to the National Weather Service. This is an important service, because it helps to validate and improve the accuracy of severe thunderstorm and flash flood warnings. If you would like to be trained as a new weather spotter, or you are an existing SKYWARN spotter and would like to refresh your training, please plan to attend this class. Parking will be available in Lot A or A1 LOCATION: Jim and Linda Lee Planetarium, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, 3700 Willow Creek Rd, Prescott.
