NEW! 6:00 p.m. - Granite Creek Upper Verde River Watershed Plan-Environmental Assessment Public Scoping Meeting. The Yavapai County Flood Control District (YCFCD) is the Sponsoring Local Organization receiving assistance from the United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service (USDA-NRCS) to create a PL 83-566 Watershed Plan and Environmental Assessment Document (Plan-EA) for the Granite Creek Upper Verde River Watershed in Yavapai County. YCFCD is supported in this effort by the City of Prescott and the Town of Chino Valley. Public input on the project is invited during the scoping phase. Participation is a vital component of the project providing those who are interested in or potentially affected by the proposed project an opportunity to share their comments, ideas, and concerns regarding actions during the initial scoping stage of the NEPA process. At this meeting, the project will be presented and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, and express ideas and concerns.
